P L A Y Multi-Cultural Arts Network
is the Performing Arts division of the Cultural Heritage Council of San Joaquin County.
Our
City is rich with multi-cultural treasures which lie in the people of
our community. Our mission is to present our Cultural Diversity within
the Greater Stockton Area. We
use the beauty and power of the Arts to bring our diverse communities
together. Opening communication between people is the first step
towards community building. Only by working together, can we make
Stockton a better place to live, today, tomorrow and for our future.
- To give voice and visibility to the richly blessed, but often invisible, talent of our community,
- To expand cultural awareness within the broader community, enhance citizen appreciation of our many beautiful art forms, and encourage community participation in our celebration of life,
- To provide the structure and venue so critical to artistic growth and development in the performing arts,
- To provide our business and governmental entities, a critical resource for deepening their understanding of, and ability to work effectively with, the vast array of cultures they encounter in our global village.
